Welcome to the world of Karl, world of a 82 years old German fashion designer, artist, and photographer. Karl is the master of reinvention and successfully made himself as a trademark. He is well recognized around the world with his ponytail white hair, black glasses, and high starched collars. His appearance is really iconic, so we will easily recognize him.

Karl born in 1933 from a wealthy family, his father is the owner of a company that imported and produced evaporated milk and his grandfather was a politician for the catholic center party. Karl known with the controversy of his birth year and miss-present his parent's background. His original name is Karl Otto Lagerfeldt then he changed by removing the "t" because it sounded " more commercial" as he wrote in his book The Karl Lagerfeld diet.

In the age of 14 Karl moved to Paris and studied drawing and history which later lead him becoming a design assistant for Pierre Balmain in 1955 after winning a competition. Karl moved to Jean Patou and designed for their haute couture collections only three years after working with Piere Balmain. In 1967 , he joined Fendi, then Chloe the following decade. In 1983 one decade after Coco Chanel died , Karl joined Chanel and its five years after the label's first ready-to-wear collection. Never get enough with that Karl also successfully collaborated with some brands eg : Diesel, H&M, Macy's etc.

Not only famous in fashion industry karl also famous for his Book, The Karl Lagerfeld Diet. He lost 42 kg in 13 months in 2001 for a diet. He said " I think that fashion is the healthiest motivation for losing weight". Dr Jean Claude Houdret created this diet specially for Karl. Karl explained "I suddenly wanted to dress differently, to wear clothes designed by Hedi Slimane.. but these fashions, modeled by very, very slim boys--and not men my age--required me to lose at least 40kg. It took me exactly 13 months". He promoted his book on Larry King Live and other TV shows.
